Gryffindor Captain Parvati Patil reclaimed her standing as one of Hogwarts' most skilled players this morning, facing off with Captain Lisa Turpin of Ravenclaw and holding the talented Chaser to only five goals, out of innumerable attempts. Stewart Ackerley accomplished a sixth goal for Ravenclaw, while Orla Quirke was briefly grounded following a stray Bludger to the ankle. Ravenclaw Keeper Zvetan Dunstan conceded twelve goals to the Gryffindor side; five from Seamus Finnigan, four from Ron Weasley and three from Ginny Weasley.
Beaters Natalie MacDonald and Gillian Monahan played an especially impressive game. Although they lack the precision and easy communication of the Weasley twins, they make up for it in open aggression, which to their credit exhibits itself fairly. Seeker Kat Bundy was forced to dodge frequent attacks, and similar assaults from the Ravenclaw Beaters were headed off more often than not, leaving Joey McCormack of Gryffindor free to capture the Snitch after two hours and fourteen minutes of play.
